R50/53 Expansion valve - where is it?
Expansion valve - where is it?
2004 MCS, 127K. A/C compressor needs to be replaced. Most comperssor vendors require that receiver/dryer and expansion valve be replaced at same time in order to preserve possible warranty claims. Where is the expansion valve? How hard is it to replace? TIA.

Not sure if this helps,... Here's the diagram.
That is sort of what I expected, but doesn't really help me to understand how to approach its removal and reinstallation. What has to be removed in order to get to the valve?
