Saw this on ebay and hadn't seen it before. Looks like the best idea yet for a larger better placed cupholder. . . .

I can't say I'd pay over $75 for it though. . . .

I saw one in person from a local club meet. They are nicely built, but very pricey. They took up too much space IMO. I've given up on looking/making cup holders up front. I'm used to, and fine with the rear cup holder for my big drinks.

I agree with big cups in the rear holder. I drink Pepsi in the can and it fits fine in the front holder.

Cans fit nicely in the front, anything bigger like a water bottle goes in the rear holder. It's also a good way for me to cut down on big soft drinks.

I don't drink in the car, unless absolutely necessary (long trips and the like). Too easy to make a mess in the twisties.

I plan on having the iPod on one cupholder and the other probably as the coin cup. Which leaves just the rear for stowing a covered beverage.

My pint bottles are of the flat kind so I really don't need a holder. Keep'em in mah back pocket........

Somebody posted about this cupholder when it was released last year. I also saw when in somebody's car when we were at Fontana Dam a few weeks ago.

Personally, I think's it's incredibly over engineered for a cupholder. It does the job it's supposed to but, it's VERY heavy duty.

For the life of me, I have no idea how the liquid stays in the cup of whatever cupholder you haved in a Mini!

Unless you drive it like a Crown Vic. Just my humble observation.

I like my Minfini cup holder that came with the car. Doesn't get in the way, looks fine and will hold a big a** drink.

I agree that my MINIFini is great! I know it's over by the passenger, but they aren't trying to drive so no one minds loosing a bit of space by their leg.

Keep your hands on the wheel not on a milkshake.

To me this cup holder is completely useless....

I'm a fairly big guy by most measurements (5'11", 230-ish lbs); Already my right leg rests against the downtube MOST of the time.... I imagine I couldn't put anything taller than a coke can in that without having my knee completely in the way.

I agree totally that the MINIFini is awesome... you can rotate it in perfect reach when it's just you in the car, or tuck it back under the switches when you have passengers.

As I don't have a steering wheel on my coffee table, I see no need to create an unnecessary reciprocal in my MINI.

Driving a sports coupe requires both hands on the wheel at all times (except to shift gears of course).

MGMAN is spot on. We all bought Go Karts, not Slumbermobiles IMHO.

My 1966 MCS did not even have a radio, and no one complained. Why? We were having too many laughs! Cupholders!!!

Red

That thing is very bulky. Notice how it intrudes in your right leg space.

there is a reason why MINIFINI chose to do their Cuplink holder the way they did.
