R53 MCS Battery drain problem

My '05 MCS keeps draining the battery if it sits more than two days. Replaced battery last weekend, fully charged. Parked it Friday PM and it wouldn't start today. Suggestions?

I use a trickle charger on my 05 mcs, which sits in the garage for days.

Thanks T4R6N. This is a new problem. I understand if the car sat for extended time how the trickle charger would be great. However, with a new battery, seems like I should be able to leave it 3 or 4 days without driving it and still have it start easily unless there is a battery draw while sitting.

Have the battery checker for capacity....free to have done...even if new....then check you voltage running and parked....just to try to rule out a charging issue.
I have left my car parked for just under 2 months once...and it still cranked... Slowly, but it started....so no reason to believe yours should be any different....
Anything plugged in? Radar detector? Phone? Camera? Aftermarket guages, radio's or amps?
There are a few posts on how to track down drains with a $15 multimeter from Walmart....

I installed a Sprint Booster in early June. Anybody had trouble with Sprint Booster draining a battery?

You could put an amp meter (multimeter) in series between the negative battery terminal, and the negative battery cable. See if there's a draw, if so, unplug the Sprint Booster, see if that eliminates the draw.

Did this sort of test on a different car, was tough to find till I replaced the fuse for the dome light, and closed the car door.... The glovebox light wasn't turning off.

I asked about anything in the last six months to see if you had any issues with parasitic drain. Plus many people think winter is what kills auto batteries but they would be wrong it is the summer heat. You've had enough time to give your battery a good kick in the *****. Now its feeling it. Do as some have suggested. Take it to a parts store that will hook it up and do a free check on the battery and charging system on the car its self. Take it to more then one store. Autozone, Napa are a couple. Also check all your grounds and maybe upgrade some of them to a heavier cable. I always do and it never hurts.
Do you have the factory battery? Pull the battery and test it for acid on the case. Also take a volt meter. Place the positive led on the pos term and the neg led on the case. Now move it to different locations on the case and watch the volt meter. If you get voltage readings you are getting parasitic drain at the battery too. It all adds up.

Just a few pennies in the pot that may help.

Problem solved. European Auto Haus (Spokane) did diagnostics and found a battery draw coming from the radio circuit. On further inspection it turned out that the GTA iPod kit (aftermarket from Mini Mania) was malfunctioning and constantly draining the battery. Kit removed and battery draw quit.

Anybody else had a similar issue with one of these iPod kits? I'll check with company and see if they will replace. Quite sure they won't fund my $150 diagnosis charge!
