My very first mod was white tail lights. Got them at the dealer and did the install myself.

Doesn't really matter if it is an appearance or performance mod as long as you are happy.

First appearance mod could be anything from the practical like more interior storage- the europarcel shelf, the glove box organizer or the center console organizer.

Or be practical like a mudflap or window tints or shift **** that has a better feel (even a short shifter like the one by Helix13.com).

Or it could be purely aesthetic like a roof graphic or painted wheel arches.

On the performance mod side common first mods are cold intake or rear swaybar.

Now you've done it! This is how it starts, add some mudflaps, then graphics, undercarriage stuff. Once you lift the bonnet, it's all over and you're hooked.

I honestly don't think a month has gone past where something wasn't changed.

Welcome to the Club.

Mudflaps, very practical!

My first addition to the car was Valentine 1 radar detector for 3400 miles drive home from the dealership.

Since I took delivery with tinted windows (bought in AZ and it's pretty standard there...) I don't know if I'd consider that my first mod. Likewise rubber mats, govebox organizer, and plastic 'hot pocket' console organizer.

I guess I'd consider my real first mod my $5 Nav system: a ball compass on a suction cup!

ncdave, you're right - once it starts it's hard to stop! I've now got white tails, an intake, and EBC pads & rotors. I'll probably get the auto-up window circuit next. Don't know what's after that, but since I don't have the cash to spend right now, it'll be a while coming.

wow.. I went the whole $8 Analogue Nav System.. aka Magic 8 Ball

ps. it fits great in the Mini-Fini Cupholder...

along with the euroshelf, Aux mod, Hot Pocket, Glove Box Organiser, Visor Cd Wallet (extends the Visors a bit!) , Elbow Landing Pad (inexpensive arm rest) and the MiniFini holder..
oh.. just got the LightnSight lens for the window.. really helps at stoplights..

wait!! I also have the little Italian Job Ball on the end of the antenna! (does that count?)

First mod, very cool thread lot 15!
Mine original sin was chrome mirror caps, ordered them the day I bought the car. I also had the great idea of mud flaps....went and got them, went to put them on, alas, this ugly and slow beast of mine came with the Aero kit....mud flaps don't fit it, even the front ones
See......proof positive....BRG jobs just don't cut it.........Lot 15 is probably lying about them.....

I did my first mod when I drove it home from the dealer - three days of taking the interior apart and completely replacing the audio system. Also during those three days a guy came to my house and installed my clear bra so I guess it's a "combined" first mod.
