rear right droop

hi all
i'm after some help. I have an 06 mini cooper S with 71000km on it. I got it second hand and have loved having the car for the last 3 years with very few problems.

This evening I noticed when i got home that the rear drivers side (right, i'm in Australia) is drooping badly. I did some very scientific measurements for all the other 3 wheels i can get 2 fingers cleanly between the tire and wheel arch yet i can just get one on the rear right.
I cant see anything that is noticeably damaged or broken in the suspension. Is there something I should be looking at or it is just a worn shock.

I have only had the car on road and i haven't noticed any noises or differences in the steering.

I'm going to take it to the mechanic early next week its the first time i can get there. but if you could point me as to what to look for.
Thanks

Could just be a blown shock. Also could be a worm strut top mount I guess. Good thing is that the rear shock is super easy to get to so shop labor won't be bad for fixing it.

Before you get too excited, make an effort to find a level pad (filling stations are usually pretty good for that) and take some measurements with a tape measure. I find that non-level driveways can produce a surprising degree of lean.

The top shock mounts are know to compress over time causing a drop. To get to them you need to remove the strut so I would just purchase two new mounts (<$10 each) and plan to replace them rather than removing the strut just to measure the mounts and then find that one has compressed and needs to be replaced.
