'03 gauges/warning lights go crazy when it rains
Ok, every time it rains my all of my gauges and warning lights go completely bonkers. A day or two later, after things have dried out, they all behave normally again. Obviously I'm getting water into a bad place, but where? Any ideas? Any easy way to seal things up and stop this?
Thanks,
Jeff

If you have a sunroof and im guessing you do. I would say one of your drains is either clogged or has come off the sunroof cassette. If its coming in on the driverside its then getting into the main dash harness and if it is coming in on the passengerside you BC1 computer is taking a bath. Either way once corrosion gets set in its not going to "correct" itself anymore. Id start by opening your sunroof and pouring water in carefully in both front corner drains and see if is coming out under the vehicle or coming out in the vehicle.
Miss old school simplicity. Gone are the days when every switch commands directly its designated function. Can anyone seriously say our cars need a dealer-dependent programmable brain that's allergic to moisture exposure?
Sorry for the rant. Just helped a friend figure out his BC1 troubles & he might just end up getting a new 1 that needs programming by the dealership....Guess it's evolve or be extinct.
