Hah, I was on a mobile phone when I asked that so I couldn't see your sig. Very impressive. Sounds like very few mini's out there are going to keep up with you, turbo or not, haha!

ALL mini's are fun

I just like most people on this threat seem to lean toward the SC mini. I drove both and decided the SC was for me due to the ability to MOD the heck out of later down the line. I have a late build O6 hard top. with a few mods pulling 200WHP and 192T. it still is lagging under 2000 rpm and does not really come alive till 3500rpm. all the way till 7500 rpm and never stops pulling. On the other hand My wife has an 2009 clubman S it pulls low and drops around 55 rpm and it has a few mods on it to even get it that far. before mods her car would die at 5000, you could feel the drop off! Like others have said and it is sooooo true drivers car=MCS 02-06 fast fun little car=turbo 07-thru current.

drive many buy 1!! or more!

My 2011 S clubman pulls strong to 6000 rpm then falls off and its stock.

Sounds about right. I think the '07 S that I drove pulled strong to about 5500 rpms, but the '08 with 2011 updates on it seemed to shift the power range higher -- I noticed oddly that it seemed to have a little less power down low, but noticeably stronger pull higher up.

I will say, though, that the first time I drove an R53, I was shocked at how little power it had down low. I didn't notice it at first because I kept the revs up, but when I let it drop below 2K, I thought something was wrong with the car.

So it's totally up to you what your preference is for power delivery.

So I will say first off im a first time mini s owner! I have an 04 not sure what face lift yet but I will find out. Now I have the supercharged model and from the research ive done it already has a alta intake system, catback not sure name, 15% pulley, msd coil. And it is stock tune as the dealer reprogrammed ecu last time I was there for powersteering issue. Now Im not fully aware what minis push for hp stock at the wheels but i noticed my car is really fast highway runs with a 09 cooper s stock and beat it by 6 cars from 40 roll, my buddys tiburon v 6 with every bolt on and chipped by 3 cars and 09 gti with intake and exhaust he was my toughest only took him by 1 full length. But my curious side about the turbo model still suprises me. It has more torque and yet he has no chance any gear ang speed? Is this normal? Also does anyone know about how much power I should be getting to the wheels with these mods? And is a tune beneficial at this stage or should I wait till I get a header and hfc?
