KW & adjustable end links (front)

Re: 2002 R53

I've recently replaced my OEM shocks for a second hand set of KW (V2) Coilovers. During the instal we noticed the front endlink mounts on the dampener we're considerably lower than OEM thus requiring a set of adjustable end links.

Problem is that the endlinks would need to only be approxamately 8 inches in length instead of the OEM @ 11.5 inches.

I emailed DT asking what the minimum size of thiers was but to date I haven't got a response. Perhaps WMW can weigh in?

Anyone else running KW's on an R53 and if so what brand/type of end links did you use?

Try using the OEM links. It will cause the sway bar to be rotated slightly downward from its original position. But as long as there's no interference with anything it should be fine.

Thanks Bean, i've updated the photo show an "estimate" of the shorter distance i'd like to link. In the photo tge sway bar is cable tied up an inch or so.

The R53 MCS I got them off had the OEM end links bent into a semi circular shape to bridge the shorter gap. This car was also a wreck and I cant help but think that this dodgy solution may have contributed its final destination.

DT & WMW seem to have shorter endlinks that would do the job but they don't ship to Australia. So my only option is Alta via a local distributor. I'm considering the Alta adjustable "rear" endlinks (9.5 inches) for the front.... can you see any problems with this solution?
