sorry if this has been asked but the search pulled up nothing. also sorry for such a late post, but i forgot aobut asking earlie. so hoepfully someone will see this in time

i'm taking my care in for it's first inspection. and i remember seeing some this time ago. but what are the options on the mini that can be activaed by the dealer that you must ask for. example, auto up windows, trip readout, or anyhting along those lines. again i remember seeing this, but couldn't find anything. so correct me if i'm wrong, but what options ar ethere that the dealer can turn on for me.
thanx again

"sorry if this has been asked but the search pulled up nothing"

Try searching for "programmable options". You should find all kinds of stuff...

thank you 911fan. i found what i was looking for. however when i went in to the dealer this morning they told me it would cost $52 to do these things. now is this true or is this a free thing that the dealers do? i found it wierd that they would charge me as i was under the impression that this was free since nothing is actually added to teh car, but just turned on. pleae correct me if i'm wrong, but should you be paying for any of these options?

thanx

Typically the dealer will charge 1/2 hour of labor to do any kind of programming whereas some will charge 1 hour of labor. If the dealership is really nice, they might even do it for free, though very rare.
