Me and the wife had some fun last night doing 0-60 pulls. We used a G-tech pro for all measurements.

BONE STOCK 2002 mc with very bald 16" runflats.

Her first run yeilded a 9.3 seconds .. I was like, the object is to go faster. I had a hard time keeping myself from telling her what to do.
Her second run yeilded a 9.6 seconds. I was whoa maybe the MINI is slower than I thought... or maybe my wife accelerationley challenged.

Its now my turn. My first run got me an 8.3 second pull. I laughed "ha I'm a second faster" I should not have opened my mouth though. My next run was 8.5 and after that 8.9 seconds.

We did end up with some pretty good runs though the best of the night was 7.9 followed by an 8.03 MY TIMES . After the wife realized what to do she got hers down to 8.3 several times in a row. I think with better tires we could have done even better. and she only roasted the clutch once .

Next we took out the 2002 wrx wagon.
We did not get near as good of times as I had hoped for. Previously I had gotten A 6.0 second 0-60 time.
My wifes best was 6.6 Thats with a very weak launch. And I got a 6.4 also with a very weak launch.

The coolest thing about our testing was that I was able to prove to my wife that there is method to my madness behind the wheel

...but it's scary how fast my wife was mastering Gran Turismo on PS2... haven't taken her out yet for her first handgun lesson with my Colt Woodsman (to be followed by a bit more fun on my Glock 21) but I know she'll wonder why I didn't teach her sooner... because I want to win at SOMEthing!

I used to teach airgun markmnaship at summer camp several years ago. The girls could shoot the pants off the guys because they listened to what you taught them. The boys knew it already and wouldn't listen.

Probably something similar happens when driving.
