It mentions mp3 cd player, revised ratios for the 6 speed on the MCS, new interior light package and more. I hope they don't jack up the prices too much. Gotta start saving up for mine soon.

There are several threads going around with all the details from MINI's press releases from last week. You can also check out http://www.motoringfile.com for all the news.

The website also says the MCS has a "next generation supercharger" and a revised exhaust system. Hmmm....

Slay me.
I was all set for used 03 IB or new 04 IB. I have GOT to see the BEP in more detail. Damn. Like there weren't enough decisions to be made... Dash colors (Robyn, you've been robbed!) Any details on the 5th gen Eaton? The gearing?
Where's that drooling smiley when you need it...

...and the MCS, which is keeping the 6-speed, will have shorter gear ratios

Here's a link to some info on an Eaton 5th gen sc being used for MB but it sounds as if it may be the same one. http://www.automotive.eaton.com/abou...02/020311.html Apparently it's quieter and more efficient. I wish the new engines were going to stay with the supercharger when they are finally released in '06-'07

The post title is '2005 changes' but the website denotes models built after July 1, 2004. Will those be considered '05 models, or just changes late in the '04 model year?

Yes it's a little more than just an ECU.

the 2005 MY will start early this year - production should begin in July.

After 2+ semi patient years of waiting, I am planning on ordering an MCS in August. Has anybody seen solid information on how much the prices are going up?

I saw on MotoringFile.com that they were going up around 2.5% Any other info on the price increase?

I read it as "anthracite headliner" too. What is an 'alcantara headliner' and why is it desireable?
