car died mid drive after changing header
So last night I changed my header from stock to obx with a cat right. I start the car and get second o2 sensor light. I said o well ill change it next weekend. I hit the sensor to make it fit in the first place but when I was done I never needed to hit it. So I kick myself for that one. This morning going to work and everything is fine and perfect. I approach traffic car dies. It cranks starts for a split second then nothing. I tow it to work and pull the codes. Now I get camshaft sensor. First o2 sensor. Emissions purge valve. I'm like OMG I should of listened to my girl and never touched the car. So I have a camshaft sensor on the way ti work and a Bosch 02 sensor just arrived142 dollars omg. I work at a bodyshop 22 miles crime home.
What are your thoughts on this issue. What do I do. Change only first o2 and see what happens or change both at once. Or change second o2. I only have one o2 sensor at the moment. How can this happen I don't get it

wonder if you melted the cat...but since you have a code..hopefully the code is pointing you in the right direction..
Camshft sensor..since you DO have a code for it is likely..heck..maybe you bumped the wire/plug on it during the header install....
Just wondering about the cat, cause OBX has a less...than...er.. stellar repuation...hopefully the vat it came with plays nice with the MINI computer....

P0445 - canister purge valve
P0340 Camshaft position sensor - no signal
P0331 Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance
a bad fuse will cause no power at the cam sensor, o2 heaters and purge valve; which will cause the codes you reported. The Cam Sensor is a hall effect type sensor (three wires) it requires power in order to produce a signal...no signal forces the ECU into semi-sequential mode. This means that the ECU fires all the injectors at the same time.

basically leason learned. dont rush untill you know you have plenty of time to fix your mistakes. #1 mistake was to not reweld the o2 bung. i should of just rewelded my o2 bung and this would of never happened. so i lost 125 dollars in tow. and if i cant return my cam sensor i would loose another 102 dollars. now i need to buy another o2 sensor which is 98 dollars. can anyone clarify this sensor for me???
