really feel like this should be a "rolling list" instead of just everyone saying "ya i want this"; otherwise we end up with pages of one liners that have to be gone through again...

anyway, a total side question for the OP: what were you thinking with regards to how to attach the wingtip? im assuming 3M double sided tape stuff, which should be fine if applied properly.

if that is what will be used, i was hoping that you could engineer recessed areas for the tape, so that the wing tip will sit flush on the spoiler, instead of seeing a big pad of tape in between the 2 pieces... make sense?

 

Why not use the "glue" that the body shops use to mount wings? I bought the JCW wing and that is what the body shop is going to use to mount it. The owner of the body shop worked for MINI and said that is what they used.

 

3m double sided is pretty user friendly, pretty hard to screw it up, also easily removed.

 

what he said. also, i dont want to have to buy a giant thing of overpriced, hard to find, hard to use, hard to remove glue.

3M stuff everyone can get at any walmart, and if applied properly works just fine. i used it on my "shark fin antenna" about 2 years ago and its still "on" the car. a little goo-gone and it can be off the car just as easy. Special BMW spoiler glue, not so much.

 

You guys are more trusting, and probably experienced, with 3M than I am.

also, +1 on the 3m tape, used it on several cars and has stayed attached up to 120... uh... Kilometers...
