Hi all.

Another random question for you. My dealer told me that my MCS should be ready for me to pick up the first or second week of June. Now.. for people who have ordered cars already... when do you think my car will go to production? Right now it still says "On Order" on the Owners Lounge site. Is there typical time frame (like the cars generally go into production 3 weeks prior to delivery).. or is it different in each case?

The Owner's Lounge has been historically very slow to update. Mine was on the ship before it ever showed in production and I had it in hand when the Owner's Lounge showed it in transport. For better updates you can call Ask MINI or talk with your MA. Once it gets to the port you can track the shipping as well. The time for production and delivery obviously varries depending on which coast it comes into port and how long it sits at the BMW prep center and how long it takes to get to your dealer on the truck. If it helps any, I ordered my car on 3/24/03. It finished production on 4/18/03. Was at the terminal on 4/19, shipped 2 days later, and at the dealer on 5/12 - Richmond VA.
