Porting is slightly polishing the insides of the places where air goes in and out of the engine, removing the ridges from casting marks etc, so that the air can flow better. I never thought of doing it to a super charger, but had always seen it done to the intake and exhaust ports on cylinder-heads, as well as intake and exhaust manifolds.

This is a precision job that needs to be done very carefully. Take off too much metal, or in the wrong place, etc., and even though you made a larger volume of space for air to run through, the whole thing can be easily fubard because the velocity of air decreases if its not done right. This is measured on a "flow-bench".

Gotcha thx for the info...might be something to look at. I just had my SC rebuilt and this might be something to look at in the future...just waiting to see how the 15% pulley changes things
