Great news and thanks. I am here to help. Its great you have the MINI BMW window tool makes the job allot easier.

MINI window tool
http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/83300494251/ES199501/

"dealer told me that I'll need an adapter plate for the motor it's plastic"

This is nylon adapter plate the is for production R50 R52 R53 6/2005- MINIs . Some people strip these out on removal and install , thus that why MINI recommends it , also they are nylon and not metal so they are sometime prone to crack on removal.

Its cheap insurance since you are doing this all at once. I have replaced them before with no problem , but I don't know what state yours will be on removal.

Here is the part numbers for the adapters.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51337197471/
http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/51337197472/

Do you have the part numbers for the motor and regulator still?

Thanks
Thanks, I couldn't find it on your site but I guess it is best if I just order one just in case, I don't have the part number with me but I do have it at home I know that the split somewhere around 6/05 or so,

Yeah, having the tool is a live saver I know that there is another method but my window is stock on the up position and it would be a pain, hopefully if someone in my area needs the tool after I'm done will make their job easier for them too. Thanks for your help

I'm glad that the V1 works I hear great things about it, I have Escort myself and it works well, it does keep up with the speed traps and red light cameras and great range, it doesn't have the arrows that the V1 has but I'm very happy with it.
Even with a radar detector be careful, cops have ways to catch you even with a RD if the word LASER comes up and is not a false alarm you are done so keep that in mind, also if you see a cop with a radar and your RD doesn't go off is because they don't have it on its not your RD fault, sometimes they do an instant on to get your speed. Google radar Roy he knows all about radar and has tons of info on this. Good luck and drive safe Enjoy your new vice lol

Now trying to get some more power for my mini with a supercharger pulley, Because i am pretty sure mine does not have one contrary to what i thought earlier.
What is a good pulley to get for just street speeding per say? I do not want to track this car. Thanks

I don't have a pulley besides the factory one, but I think that the most popular are the 17 and 15 and 19 I think that can cause some issues. Don't quote me on that because I'm not sure. Helix and WMW are very popular, I'm going to get the Helix since I can just drive to them in PA and have them install it and their prices are very reasonable, for an intake I'll go to DDM WMW or Outmotoring have decent prices on it, I like it because is not too noisy and it looks more OEM than others but if noise it's what you want I think that Craven and Alta its what you want although I'm not sure if Craven is loud I don't want to give you the wrong info. I also like the JCW that ECS recommended but its pricey and my wife it's already on my case lol

Alright i have been a busy bee, Upgraded a few things on my car and planning on more but i just hit a stop :O, I ordered a LED kit to replace all my amber lights into leds and i noticed that all my lights are on except for the driver side puddle light(Under the door)

So i removed it and tested the bulb and it works fine but then i realized.. it was not plugged in. So i was like okay easy fix ill fish the wire out and plug it in.

Well i got down their with a flashlight and looked all over and it seems there is no wire at all :O

Maybe it is wayyy back but what would have caused this? would the previous owner have a reason to disconnect it and remove the wire?

My only idea is to remove the door panel and look for it, but im not sure :/

And like i said i have my LED's coming from ECS tuning around Tuesday so once i install those it should be a nice improvement for night time driving

Also have my 9500IX Passport radar detector coming,

Carbon fiber door-handle/badges/mirror cap and trunk release from carbon mini

And soon enough a set of coil overs.

Going for the black out theme as-well, death to the chrome!

I just fixed my window regulator and when I was done and placing back the door panel I almost forgot to plug in the light cable, I guess that the cable that you are looking for is in there and the OP forgot to plug it in, take off the panel and you'll find it go to you tube and watch this
good luck.
did you get around installing the fogs?

Owning a Mini is an Addiction; a good addiction . . . . . maybe

Addiction is the continued use of a mood altering substance or behavior despite adverse consequences; like going broke . . . . . . . . .

Thanks minibx,

I have done it without the tool in the past but it was really tight. I cut my hand up and I had to adjust the window a hundred times.

Special tool helps a bunch. Its on the only way if you have a convertible and need to adjust the rear small side window.

http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/83300494251/ES199501/

Any JCW parts on the future list ?

Thank God that I don't have a convertible I can only deal with two windows, mine was on the UP position so I had to take the chrome trim off to use the tool then I had to cut the cables on the old regulator in order to lower the window to take out the pegs, it was fun but I don't want to do it again but at least I know what to do now.
No JCW parts yet, my wife is keeping a close eye on my spending on this car lol but I dream of the JCW air intake.

Yeah i cannot wait to get it! and okay guys i need some more help :D

So i installed those LED sidemarkers and they look beautiful but the reason i got them in the first place is because i believed my passenger side was broken, so i replaced it with the led to get it working but it never actually turned on. So i tested the actually connection port for electricity with my multi-tester as i had my hazards flashing and i did not get any electricity going through there at all.

Not sure what to do, i don't want to take it to the min dealer because i want to learn and do it myself and of course save money, so do you guys have any ideas what it could be? Poor wiring or dead fuse? and would it be a DIY

One tip!!
If you are 100% sure it is a legal (aka not stolen) one, you can ship it to the maker, they will "tune it" and update the software for a small fee..about $60 if I recall right....make it as good as a BRAND NEW UNIT.
Units with...er..."history" that might not be legal are unsupported.

Nice MINI you have many extras that the prior owner sunk money into. A couple of things, I like your stripe and the auto climate control, nice.
If you have no power at the signal you are going to have to trace back the wire to where it is broken. Not fun. It may be better to get a shop or dealer to do unless you can find a wiring diagram.
Don't work about a JCW intake, you already have a good one.
Make sure you treat your top nicely. Lube all the hinges and apply some protectant to the fabric. Tops are expensive.
Make sure your serpentine belt is in good condition and change it if its original. They can cause a lot of damage if they break. Before spending more on mods make sure all the maintenance is up to date like spark plugs, plug wires, trans fluid, brake fluid, cabin filter, air filter. Sometimes the prior owner will let all this slide when they are about to trade. My air filters were shocking.

Alright so as of my last post i have gotten lots of stuff fixed/replaced/upgraded

Took my mini to the BMW dealer

1. got my side scuttle fixed (It was a faulty connector) 15$ replacment
2. Driver side puddle light fixed and led was put in place.
3. got my oil changed
4. Bought a new cabin air-filter off outmotoring and put that in.
5. Got a few pieces of carbon fiber to replace my chrome, (Doorhandles/Mini-wings/trunk lid handle and soon the mirror caps. All from carbonmini
6. Got some convertible top care kit from OEM bmw so i will try and protect that as best as i can!

I appreciate the info Aspen, I am going to look into all that and maybe get a tuneup and have all the stuff you mentioned replaced, Sparkplugs ect.

Also blacking out my chrome beltline trim that is coming in the mail with a new hood scoop.

And finally the upgrade that will kill me is the new JCW Big brake kit from BMW will be coming in the next week depending on when they receive it.

Also my Passport was brand new from amazon, so no worries there :D

Posting some more pictures soon!

Lastly, should i consider coilovers? every bump in the road i hit or anything is so rough and i feel like maybe my shocks are shot? I wouldn't get replacment oem or anything but maybe like a KW1 variant, but i see so much hassle with new camber plates and rear control arms? it seems like 1,100 coilovers turn into 2,000 project.

Edit: Just ordered some new performance spark plugs like you recommended aspen!
