Cat Back Too Cheap?

Have been doing upgrades to my 05 S and the next step is a cat back. Noticed one on ebay new for $225.00 ad reads like all the rest but at this price...makes me wonder.

Has anyone ordered/installed this set up? It's from Speed Factory 101.

Thanks in advance!
Jim

Most people haven't had the best luck with eBay stuff....you need to send a link. Problems you can encounter with cheaply made items is: quality of the metal, quality of the welds (if it separates it will get really loud really fast, fitment of the parts.

I would recommend reading the sellers feedback and see if anyone who actually bought thusly exhaust has commented. You get what you pay for is usually true in most any place in life...probably none more true than car parts.

You get what you pay for, and that is not a MINI vendor so be warned.

I would not do it i went with the m2 performance cat back which is another cheep exhaust and the fitment was horrible i had to had it cut and rebend it and its not really much different then the stock sound i know its to different companies but you definitely get what you pay for.

My son has had several of these ebay exhaust for his Honda's and they are hit and miss. Cutting, bending and welding are usually required for proper fit. The Invidia cat back is a high quality exhaust that won't break the bank.

If you are looking for cheaper, custom is the way to go. You just don't know how it will sound until after you are done.

Many of the cheaper, single sided exhausts drone...very badly. To get a non droning exhaust, the price of admission seems to be about $550+.....using a single sided exaust can save a few $, but like i said usually results in a drone at highway speeds that will drive you nutz!!
