a few months ago a girl in the schools parking lot decided to slam on her POS 99 civic's gas pedal...and destroy my door. to say the least i was livid. after about two months of witness reports, her denying i was already sitting in line, and the state of massachusetes interveening.....i finally got the $1000 to fix it.(this seemed a bit low to me but i was so sick of fighting it i just gave up.)...the next catastrophy was that about a week later...on a bak road, a bigflat bed decided to come around a blingd corner at about 45, taking up the entire road, and my right front wheel went 4 inches deep into a giant pothole. i bought a set of second hand rims form $350, went to firestone to have my tires mounted on the new wheels. about 5 minutes later the tech comes out and says there is a problem. whoever owned the car before me allowed a shop to put the tires on, and destroy the bead of the tire. so now i paid $700 for new tires. All of my money is now gone. so now i have a few issues. ive popped the panel of and tried to pop the giant dent in my door out. although it looks better, it stil has two noticably smaller dents. also when she hit me the sound killing material on the inside of the door was destroyed. so now the road noise is rediculous. also whenever im using my music, the inner door panel rattles. i have narrowed it down to the gray ring in the center, he one that has the bar for the arm rest and goes in an oval.....so after all that background information i have a few questions....1)does anyone know of any other way i could attempt to fix my door myself...if not are their any websites that i could find a door myself and swap it out?......2)i have seen some sound killing material at pepboys for $40....is this worth it or should i just go to a fabric store and by some foam padding and put it in there....and finally 3) does anyone know of what i could do to fix the rattling in the door panel?.....all help will be much appreciated....im 16 and this is my first car..im ver mechanically inclined and can do pretty much anything i need to on the car...and i love driving it, 06 MCS, and i raced SCCA last summer, and i hope to do it again.
