How long to wait for a BCM?

06 MCS at dealer for over a month. "BCM on backorder".

Does that sound right? Hope they are not charging storage fees!

Hard to believe, especially when there are not that many posts here with that issue.

What's a BCM?

You get a loaner?
Mini had my car for at least a week for some issues that turned out to not be issues, gave me a loaner, no fees for anything. Only thing I'd worry about, is not having a sun shield up inside the car. It's prolly just sitting outside in their parking lot.

It's an 06, so no loaners and expect fees!

Some dealers would give the car a "Sunshine Treatment" if the problem was intermittent and they can charge to fix hoping it does not come back in 30 days!

A BCM is not real common item but also not uncommon.
I suggest you call another dealer, even if they are not in your area, to see how long to get an '06 BCM.
If the other dealer has one ask your dealer to get it from the other dealer.
Just an idea of how I might handle it.
