Specifically, anyone ever retrofit the multi function steering wheel in an '04 Mini? I saw the OEM insructions and it requires taking the dash apart, the steering wheel off, etc., instal various wire harnesses. These instructions are also for '02-03 Mini's.

I already know the '04s are pre-wired for just about everything. I had a "hunch" that the OBC was pre-wired and just needed to be coded (i.e.turned on) and I was right (got the OBC turned on about a week ago at a BMW dealer). Now I am wondering if the wiring for the Multifunction Steering wheel is already in the car and all I need to do is install the buttons on the steering wheel.

Anybody have any insight on this?
