I would like to ask a simple question of everyone that has had the software upgraded to v.36 in a MINI Cooper S.

Would you install the new software if you haven't had any significant stumble or yo-yo on your 2003 S? It is time to go in for annual treatment and I want to know if most of you think this software is a significant improvement. The service guy at the dealership is suggesting to me that I do this software upgrade.

So what do you think I should do?

I have a Sept 2003 build '04 MCS. car came from the factory with software version 35. Updated it to version 36 in late January and 2,000+ miles later since the update the car rides like a champ.


Highly recommended.

 

I can only assume with 50+ views and one reply that everyone agreed with the reply. I will do the software upgrade.

Any new MINI built after November 2003 will already come with software version 36+ from the factory.

I have heard rumors that version 37 is coming out, but I haven't been able to get a confirmation on this.

 

How do you know what version of software is installed? Is it listed somewhere ??
