R50/53 more obsession...
Due to some rain recently, my poor baby Mini was not washed for 10 days. Usually I wash her every 5 to 7 days. It had so much dirt, poor baby. Mimi is over 3 months old now. Usually it does not take long to wash the car, as no dirt really has built up. Anyone else getting obsessive about their Mini's cleanliness?
I actually washed mine IN THE RAIN (and 45(ish) degree weather) on Saturday! Fortunately I have a garage to pull Molly into so I can dry her and finish the job.
I saw the neighbors poke their heads out the window - I know they think I'm nuts!

I only drive my "S" on the weekends and clean it at least three times a week. I cannot stand the sight of dirt on my baby. Anyone touches it and I kill ya !!!! I even removed the wheels last week to get to the brake dust that built up.

I recommend getting a genuine California Duster to pick up the dust between washes (and just before a proper wash.) This thing is only about $15 and does a great job without hurting the MINI's finish. Follow the directions about letting it air before the first use and not using it when your MINI is warm.
If washing a drying is a backrub for a MINI, then dusting is a nice back scratch.
