I am trying to find out the CVT transmission pan bolt torque in inches or foot pounds. Is there a website that has some general torque lbs for a 2003 Mini cooper?

nothing in the Haynes - only covers manual trannys

 

called my buddy that owners a tranny repair/overhaul shop and he could not find a torque for the pan bolts

however, his documentation did stress a specific criss-cross pattern for both removal and reinstall

he said the torque would depend on the type of gasket, if it has metal "rings" at the bolt holes, use the standard torque for the bolt size, if no metal then less, but again it depends on the type of gasket material

also, his documentation does not say anything about any sealant

BMW TIS says 9 Nm, which is 80 in-lbs or 6.6 ft-lbs.

 

Thanks for the information you all have provided. It is a normal pan with a gasket no washers or spacers. when i checked mine it was at 30in-lbs so 2.5lbs. cristo had 6.6ft-lbs but i will stick with what i have for now.
