R50/53 Failed balancer NOT the tensioner

Failed balancer NOT the tensioner

Pulled my daughter's R50 apart last nite, found the noise to be a bad balancer NOT the idler / tensioner as I had previously thought

More expensive, but at least it didnt explode. She was 3 miles away when it started making noise.

I guess the ATI is the way to go, not the failure prone OEM, though hers lasted 114K miles.
Looks like I will have to use a claw style puller since there are no bolt holes as in the later rev pulley.

Guess while I'm there I should replace the tensioner assembly and definitely the serp belt.

Sorry but the ATI doesn't work on the non S car.
We do have the OEM pulley, and an aluminium WMW one.
