Hey guys, i just picked up a 2003 MCS project car with 201,000 miles and im working on getting it rolling. The car has been sitting for about a year before i bought it so there are quite a few issues. Right now im just working on getting the car started.

My problem is that when I turn the key nothing happens. There is no solenoid click or anything. The battery is brand new, fully charged. I checked it with my multi-meter and it's giving out 12.44 volts. The first time I turned the key it sounded like the engine turned over half way very slowly and then stopped and now it won't do anything. My guess is that the starter is dead, but I just want to make sure there isn't anything else i should check first. I checked and tested all connections and they're all good as well.
