I will be in London late next month. Does anyone know of a good MINI aftermarket shop in London?
Yes, I am taking the "Plant Oxford" tour when I am over there, can't wait.

ooh ooh ooh!!!!!!

I have a list of stuff I want if you can find them and feel like bringing them back for a stranger.... and they don't come any stranger than me....

if you get near a John Cooper Garage dealer I want a license plate fram with their name on it.... and if they are still selling them, I want one of the work shirts/blouses or whatever they are called that the factory employees wear with the MINI logo on it. I think they sell them...

anyway, I'd be wlling to pay for your services of course....

in any case, have a great trip! Another cool tour you can take, and it's not too terribly far from Oxford, is the Triumph motorcycle factory in Hinkley.

With the Pound at over $1.80 and the prices over there, you are in for sticker shock......everything you can get here for a dollar, you can get there for a pound PLUS the V.A.T. (17 or 18%)
Save them receipts and you can get a refund at the airport if you don't forget......Mini Mania is pretty cheap...so is Classic......

I am well aware of the pound being so high, but when I look in "GoMINI" magazine, I see many items I haven't seen in any of the US catalogs. So if I find a good shop, I might have to bite the bullet. :???:

Very good speed accessories shops at race circuits...If you are heading towards Oxford, silverstone should not be far out of your way.....Brands hatch in Kent has a great shop inside the circuit (open all the time) and there is also one outside about a 1/4 mile down from the main entrance. Demon Tweeks is about the best and largest Speed Shop in the London area (demon-tweeks.co.uk).....happy shopping.....did you try google say Mini Cooper UK?

Thanks for the info, we will be going to Oxford by bus, so that will limit our exploring. I will check out demon-tweeks now and will also see what google has to ofter.

Cheers, Doug
