R50/53 A Pillar removal help

A Pillar removal help
well, ive searched the forums, and nobody has Directly answered peoples question when they as HOW to remove the Front A Pillars?!
I really dont even need to fully Remove it, I just have to get a Wire up through there, to go from the knee bolster to the headliner, as I am installing some electronics near the sun visor.
from what i can tell, you just Pull the A-Pillar out towards you (the driver)? is there a certain angle that is best? is there a screw? (some claim there is such a screw, while others never mention it)
ive pulled on that A Pillar quite a few times now, and that thing is ON there!
please help!

Interior A pillar right? Just pull from top, there is no screw, just some metal clip (refer to below link #1 and #6)

I did remove it by pulling when I redo my roofliner (due to current one is sagging). Oh, my MINI is 1st Gen
