My '04 MCS has a rattling, metallic kind of noise coming strait from the supercharger. Its not that loud yet, but im assuming it can only get worse. I have read a couple places that the SC its own oil reservoirs...two of them to be exact. They say that Mini Dealerships will not recommend that you change the oil in these reservoirs because they want your SC to go bad so they can make more money. Another site said you should change these oil reservoirs around 60k.

Does anyone know if changing this oil will eliminate this noise?

Does anyone have any information on this topic?

Does it sound like "weeeeeeeeeeeeee"? Might be the cool sound that comes with having a SC...unless, it's making noise while idling...then it's trouble...

 

I do have some "weeeeeee" when i get on it, but the noise is mainly at idle when heard the most.
