R50/53 Power lock problem

Power lock problem
Hi everyone, so I have a 2004 R50 and ever since I got it the passenger side door lock does not work, sort of.You see the key remote will lock it, but not the switch in the car, and neither the key nor the switch will unlock it. However the manual lock does work on the car.
Thoughts on why this would be occurring???
