Well, I went ahead and ordered a MCS! Should be here sometime in mid April. Can't wait! Decided on the Dark Silver/Black scheme-17" run flats-front/rear fog lamps-on board comp.-3 spoke-rain sensor- and a few more in there somewhere...Got a production # from the dealer so I can track the car (i guess).

I'm reading a lot about different software flashes. What exactly does that mean to me with an '04? Shouldn't that have the most current in it already?? Also the "YoYo" deal is giving me some concern. Should I be worried about these things or just enjoy? I'm also looking into an armrest. Does anyone have one and is it worth the money?

Looking forward to good info and conversation....

Bill

Not sure I can help much, but welcome to the board and congratulations on your MCS.

As far as I know v36 is the latest software and I would think that's what you'll get. Most folks who have upgraded to v36 say it helped a lot, often eliminating the stumble and greatly reducing the yo-yo. Guess I should let them talk though, since I have an 03 Cooper, not an S.

I'll be checking this thread to see what the armrest recommendations are. Not having an armrest for either arm isn't one of the MINIs best features.......yes, I know there's suppose to be one on the door.

Enjoy the wait and the MINI.

Roadglide,

Welcome to the site. Like the Dark Silver/Black scheme. You will have the latest version of software out when your car gets here. The yo-yo appears more on some cars and less on others. Don't let it keep you up at night, you will enjoy your car and hopefully they will have it fixed soon.
