we have an '03 R50 5 speed. might be interested in trading for a comparable automatic

Avoid the First Gen non-S automatic (CVT.) at all costs.

already knew that, was hoping someone with a next gen would perhaps be interested even if i had to pony up some $

... good luck, i'd like an r50 but later model would be nice.

DON'T buy a CVT equipped MINI!!!

It will actually be less expensive in the long run to get a 2007 Cooper with auto!

I'd sell the 5 speed, and buy an R53 Agitronic. Where I live, there is little, if any price difference. Especially after 100,000 miles. I don't foresee someone with an R56 willing to swap with an R50, but good luck.

I have an 02 with 133k on it has a factory reman trans with less than 40K on it. I just serviced the trans less than 5k ago. No signs of any issues in the fluid color. Car runs, drives, shifts great.

we'd be happy to trade for an r53 and come to the table with money since clearly the r50 is not worth as much
