I've been looking to replace the shift **** in my recently purchased CVT; I'm just not a huge fan of the leather w/ chrome strip "feel" (looks fine).

Any suggestions on where to look for a replacement shifter? I'd want either solid leather (preferrable) or chrome, but not both.

 

MINI dealers sell a CVT shift **** that is solid silver...I think it's like the standard silver interior trim color. That's the only CVT shift **** option I've heard of. It's in the accessory catalog.

 

Yeah.... I've seen that one...

I may get it, I was just looking for something more "unique" maybe.

 

I have been looking for one as well ... but due to the shift button on the CVT **** not many people make them (if any at all).

It is not as easy to replace as the 5 speed one.

 

You could probably check BMW catalogs like BMP Design or Bavarian Auto for shifter *****. I'm sure the ***** are interchangeable between BMW and MINI as I have the same design in both my 540i and the CVT.

I've seen ***** in leather, aluminum, woodgrain and carbon fiber, or a mixture.
