R50/53 Unichip question
Unichip question
I just purchased a Unichip system with the Flux 2. The mods that I have and told them are Alta CAI, Alta 15% pulley reduction and headers with full custom magnaflow exhaust. I received the set up and installed it but does anyone know how to find out if its REALLY working and if theres improvement besides throwing it on a dyno? Im setting an appointment soon for dyno pulls but thought Id check and see if theres a quicker way to make sure its operating correctly.
What does your "Butt Dyno" tell you? If there is a big enough increase in WHP you will be able to "Feel it" after being use to driving the car without the tune..just my .02 cents.
My "Upgrade" to the Craven CAI and the 15% pulley were immediately noticeable.

What I had noticed is that the timing is very dynamic and fluctuates continuously. Not sure if that is good/bad/otherwise, but I do feel that around 6k-7k an incredible pull, more so then in the lower RPMs. Doesnt matter what gear, it just accelerates like crazy from 6 to 7.
I had the headers and full exhaust done at once right before I put the unichip in and maybe I was expecting more power from the lower range. I was almost thinking like there was something I was forgetting in order for the system to work right. I read in the directions that if you select a unprogrammed map that the car wouldnt start. I started my car in all 5 maps and Im not feeling a difference in them so thats whats got me wondering.
