For all you Southern California owners, primarily in the Los Angeles area. Do any of you frequent any clubs, and if so where do you park your MINI. Considering that some of the best clubs are sometimes located in questionable areas especially at night, I was wondering where you park at. I go out alot at night to various clubs and have been worried about leaving such a noticeable vehicle in areas where dings, bumps, bruises, and maybe even worse are possible.

 

In the "questionable " areas of our fair City, I let someone else drive. Haven't had any problems anywhere otherwise but, the car gets so much attention. Went to a concert at the Bowl and the Greek and was surrounded forever by people asking questions. Not complaining just, again, the car gets so many looks. On a dark side street in Hollywood or off Sunset, I don't know if I want to take the chance and you can forget about lots with valets. I guess I'm banking on that every one finds the car so cute that they won't mess with it but, one never knows in L.A.

 

i make my friends drive or i valet it -- but i insist on parking it myself, i do NOT hand over the key - you kidding me??

Unfortunately I'm constantly hanging out in the Hollywood and Sunset areas, and at night with some places, it's like Tales From The Darkside. I've seen one dark silver MINI parked at night in the not as classy side of Santa Monica blvd., but it didn't seem to stay too long. I guess I'll try to force my friends to suck it up and be the designated driver for once. Thanks for the input.
