Miltek cat back?????

I can't find anywheres to buy the miltek cat back!

It seems like that's the best bang for the buck vs the Megan or magnaflow.

Any second opinions though?

Anyways! I really want an exhaust! Please help!

+1 for the Miltek.. have been running it for 6+ years and nothing but smiles.. friends cheaped out for lower $ setups and most removed due to droning.. make the investment! It's the sweetest sounding one out there (I got the headers too!)

I don't think anyone sells the R50 Miltek in this country anymore. It took 2-3 months
for me to get mine 4 or 5 years ago. I think Detroittunned, Helix, and Stratmosphere have
the R53 Miltkek catback, though. They could probably get an R50 one for you if you paid up
front and were willing to wait a couple months for delivery.
I'm guessing from the op's name Minicoopr50 that he has an R50.

I tried to find a Miltek for my R50 also since I heard that they were one of the best sounding systems, but could not find one for a decent price since no one in the U.S. sells them anymore.

I found a used R-Speed in the marketplace and am extremly happy with it. It's fairly quiet when I want it to be, but it roars like a beast when I get on it. Unfortunatly, they do not make it anymore, so that doesn't really help you. R50 exhausts do pop up once in a while for sale, but its definitely rare compare to S exhausts

However, if I never found my R-Speed, what I would have done is kept the stock piping with resonator and just cut off the rear muffler and replace it with a Dynomax Ultraflo muffler.

The next best bang for the buck would be either the OBX or Megan system.

Would the dynomax muffler make the same sound/performance increase? What are ur thoughts on manga flow exhaust?

Well, don't expect too much performance gain on a R50 with an exhaust, because you will be disapointed. I did feel a very, very slight top end gain, but maybe its just in my mind because it makes more noise. The sound from the exhaust does add to the driving enjoyment, and thats all I was after. However, I have been noticed that I picked up about 2 mpg.

I don't have any experience with magnaflow, but I had the Dynomax Ultraflo on previous vehicles and the sound always came out great. Never heard a Mini with it though, but that was my plan before I found the R-Speed.

The R-Speed was intially my first choice, but it had already been discontinued when I was
looking for an exhaust many years ago, and got the Miltek instead.
Very happy with the sound, solid construction, longevity and looks of the Miltek.
I can't say I have any significant power gain, but that's true of any R50 catback.

Well the Megan is about $200 cheaper, and I hate the look of a round cylinder type muffler that the Magnaflow uses. I would go with the Megan.

I agree, I too bought a Megan Cat Back for my 2006 MCS and though it took forever and a day to get too me. It was less expensive than the others at $510 with free shipping. I have almost had it for a year and I love it. It has an awesome note that isn't too load yet still give a great growl. If you haven't bought one yet I would recommend this product.
