I just bought an 03 mcs. The previous owner replaced the steering angle sensor, but never got it to the dealer to get it recalibrated.

I figured I'd beat the dealer and buy the Bavarian technic diagonstic tool and do it myself. I am running into some trouble and confusion.

I did the recalibration and when I cycle the ignition, I get the dsc and tire light again. My angle sensor is throwing a code 11 invalid lws-I'd.

My dsc model is throwing an error of steering angle sensor invalid.

I have read about getting the sensor recoded then calibrated. Has anyone used the above mentioned software to put a new sensor in, or is the dealer going to win in the end?
