R50/53 rear brake bleeder valve size
rear brake bleeder valve size
Hey everyone.
I replaced the rear rotors and pads on my daughter's 2002. A bit of a challenge to figure out the piston retraction and such. in order to be able to rotate and push them back in, I simply popped the bleeders open. Seemed fine, until we went to move the car out of the shop, and the left rear bleeder cap popped off and spewed fluid everywhere. I thought I had tightened it. I tightened maybe another quarter turn. Slowed the leak. Tightened another eighth of a turn and seemingly stopped it. Now this morning the cap is MIA, and there is a bit of fluid on the ground. I do not want to push my luck and tighten it any further. I would rather replace it.
Does anyone know the size of the valve? I really would prefer to just get one at the store, rather than a few and return the unused ones. I would also prefer to just have it, rather than take the old one in as that will put the car down fro a couple days, and frankly, I am tired of her stranding me without a car. Haha.
thanks in advance.

Make sure the drip isn't just residual from the first leaks. If it was big enough the pedal pushes at first would have sprayed up with a bunch of force. Sitting over night might have let it settle and drip.
