R50/53 Long term users of rain sensing wipers- opinions?

I think you hit it on the nose. It's not that they really do anything really exciting it's that I don't think about it. I drive the car and don't think about the wipers. Less to take my attention away from driving. The same goes for the auto dimming mirror. Now would they pleeeease make the side mirrors do the same!

Another happy Rain-sensing wiper user here. I have had my MINI since February and we have had one of the rainiest summers on record here on the East Coast. I really miss them when I drive one of my other vehicles that does not have this feature. (I also miss the 30+ mpg that my MINI consistantly provides, but I can't imagine towing a 4000 pound trailer with the MINI!)

I don't think that's right at all.. From previous readings on NAM, they turn off whenever you turn off the car because if you forgot about it, and your windows freeze up, the wiper motor would burn out because of a buildup of ice or snow on your windshield.

Regardless, I have rainsensing wipers as well, and they're great. I only wish I could turn up the speed at the highest setting.
