Running a cable from the boot to the dashboard - how to remove interior panels

I've got my DICE MediaBridge all hooked up and working, and now I need to run the cables from the boot-area (passenger side access panel where the Sirius receiver/CD Changer connection is) to the front of the car. The plan is to mount the DICE unit in the front and then run the mic cable from there into the mic holder on the sunroof control panel. In order to do this, I need to run the primary DICE cable from that access panel to the stereo. In order to do so, it apears that I need to remove most of the interior panels on the passenger side of the car, including the panel that runs under the door sill and into the footwell. Can anyone point me to a good turorial on how to remove and re-install all that stuff?

I don't have a tutorial, but I had a cable run from the radio to the battery area that I just removed when I sold the car. I was able to run the cable without removing the rear panel. I did remove the rear seat. The door sill is the tightest spot, but with a pry tool you may be able to push the carpet down just enough to cram the cable in. If you want to remove the door sill plastic- you may need to remove the seat to allow that piece to move laterally. I had to remove the seat belt attachment point on the floor and the one for the rear passenger, which are big torx bolts. Everything else is held in place by plastic clips. Good luck.

I just completed my Mediabridge install last weekend in my 2007 Cabrio. I'm assuming the cable run from rear to front will be almost the same for yours. My run was along the passenger side.

I removed rear seats - both backs and the bottom cushion. I then fished the CD changer end of the MB cable behind the side panel, just forward of the seat belt anchor, back to the rear where the factor harness is. No need to remove any panels or seat belts.

Next, I pushed the cable under the bottom of the side panel until I got to the door sill panel. At that point, pulled up the rubber seal strip along the door opening and pushed the cable down between trim and body, up to end of the trim piece above the hood release. Next, pulled the end of the trim panel away just enough to get the cable behind the front end of the door sill trim. The rubber seal goes back in place easily. There's plenty of room behind the end of that panel to stuff extra cable there when you're done - I also put my Sirius box there. Also, it's near the A-pillar, where I ran my Sirius antenna and BT mic wiring.

Put my MB box in the glove compartment, along with my iPod. Cut a small hole in the left side to run the cables in. Everything hidden, except for Sirius antenna in the middle of dash near windshield.

Hope this helps.
