NCS Expert for R53

Hi there,

First I know the correct place of this thread is the Electrical forum, but I opened here, because not a lot of users enter to that forum and I need a lot of your help.

This is the thing....

I have a Mini S 2006 (R53), I saw all the information of the NCS and now I want to do it, but I never done something similar to any of my cars, is it risky ?? can I break/ruin the Mini´s computer?.

Right now I know that I need a cable I found this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-USB-OBD-...item1c1fa41646
What do u think ?

The NCS Expert Software, I will download it from the 2nd gen forum and the instructions that I want to program/install, but the biggest problem is that I can´t find information for the R53, so I really need your help, please help me!!

I think this thread could help to a lot of R53 owners that want your Mini do a lot of cool things that is not doing right now.

NCS Expert will run with Windows Vista ?

Please tell me and thank you in advance!!!

Mario

If you make a mistake at the wrong time, yes. If you let your battery run down while programming, yes.

Look at the thread in the Electrical forum. The one where I wrote specific information for the R53. What more information do you want?

Google should help you with this question. I would expect that it depends on your version of Vista. I've only used it with XP.
