Check Engine Light!!! O2 SENSOR --- P0136 CODE
Did a bit of searching in the old threads, but, the search function on this site is horrible!!! Anyway, had the CEL come on on my fiance' the other day and used my OBDII scanner to pull the code. P0136 "O2 SENSOR MALFUNCTION (BANK 1 SENSOR 2)". Called the MINI dealer and found that most of the 04-06 MINI S's the O2 sensor warannty was extended to 100,000 mile due to issues, cheaper than a recall i guess. BUT, I'm at 104k!!! DAMN! so, question is.... WHO HAS REPLACED THIER O2 SENSOR? What did you use? Dealer part is $299.99. What a rip! Found a new OEM part for $200, but, that is as cheap as Ive found. There are some universal sensors from BOSCH online that would fit, but just have to wonder if they are junk. I have posted a screenshot from my phone of the TORQUE SCAN TOOL I use. If you have never heard of TORQUE for ANDROID, you should check it out... SO COOL!!! WORKS AWESOME!!! Anyway, thanks for the help...
P.S. I know that out MINI's use two of the same O2 sensors in the setup...

Yes both sensors are the same, your code is indicating "post cat" , from what I know you want to use the bosh plug & play replacement (oem), not the universal. (you'll have issues).
As far as price, shop around, give Chad or Way a call.

definitely go with the plug-and-play variety.. I worked through three different universal ones trying to get them to work. If I remember correctly, I ended up finding one with the wire and the plug on the end of it for like $150 somewhere. I think maybe ECStuning. try this http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2019579/
