Anyone know if the R56 Duel Tilt Sunroof with fit in an R53?? Not only do I want the duel tilt feature, I want the cool toggle switch controls for it rather then what I have for my sunroof.

Oh by the way, I'm thinking about replacing my sunroof for an r56 one cause I mine is broken and needs replacing anyways.

Any info is appreciated!

lol. i asked mini about this. the sunroofs are entirely different size and shape. Im totally jealous of the dualies!

 

With enough time and money you can do anything...

However, it will probably be a massive headache and I would just suggest sticking with it the way it is.

 

What about that switch swap? Still possible? That's a cool idea.

 

Well the switch swap is possible but still would be a pain - different shapes and mounting.

Also, not all of the switches match up. I.e. 2nd gens have color-changing interior lighting so that switch would have to be changed to another option or just be a dead switch. Also the map lights are different.
