Hello, I'm new to this forum, and have question about my new (to me) 2006 Mini Cooper S: Is it a Park Lane?

From what I have read, it has EVERYTHING a typical Park Lane has (literally nothing more & nothing less!).

(the list below is taken from a UK site, but matches my car exactly):
-Automatic Stability Control and Traction system (or ASC+T as BMW like to call it),
-a rear spoiler
-a chrome line-trimmed interior and exterior,
-floor mats,
- passenger seat height adjustment,
-a storage compartment pack,
-front fog lights,
-automatic air-conditioning,
- an on-board computer,
-an interior lights pack,
-chrome mirror caps,
- front sports seats and white indicator lights.

The following are additional similarities I've observed with non-US Park Lanes:
- interior "carbon fiber" dash
- Royal Grey color
- Two tone leather steering wheel
- Horseshoe hood decal
- special leather seats with solid grey with silver piping
-

From the research I have done, however, Park lanes were not available in the US, hence my confusion, and reason for the post.

TIA!

First, welcome to the forum! I think you'll find a great bunch of folks here.

As for your car, does it have the silver roof? That's the only Park Lane-specific feature I can think of that you didn't mention in your post (other than the PL badging, of course.)

It may be a coincidence, or a US buyer might have tried to duplicate the Park Lane setup using available options.

Does it have the regular sport seats, or does it have the "Panther Black" leather with the silver piping? Here's a picture of the Panther Black seats - you can see that the stitching and padding are different from the regular sport seats:

Yes, it has the silver roof.

The seat are identical to the picture shown here: http://www.motoringfile.com/2005/09/...for_us_market/

The US never got the Park Lanes or such cars, but all a Park Lane is is just a specific group of options that were all available in the states.
