Whoa......I did not mean to offend anyone. If the full aero kit works for you,,,then good. The full kit was not the look I was after, hence, I changed what I wanted and liked. My point is..that if MINI went through the trouble of creating an aero kit...then why did they not put a real grill in the rear instad of the decals? I guess if they HAD put grills there.......the rear bumper would not act like a parachute and prevent air from flowing easier from the car. Sorry if I offended anyone, it was not my intention. :???:

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely get that install. As of now, the car hasn't seen the road since the aero kit. It's still parked in the garage while I'm working on the stereo, nav, V-1, and alarm.

I do love the aero kit.

I have an aero kit minus the rear bumper in a box, cant stop driving my car to have it put on.
I initially did not like the look of the rear bumper, yet It does provide better coverage of the dual muffers than the stock bumper does. I have a question, was there any problems fitting the skirts without the rear bumper?
As far as not liking the look, I was just going to go with the aero front and then added the skirts. and now am finding myself kind of wishing I got the rear too. But since I didn't I cant afford the shipping from Classic now. so we will be going bottom less so to speak.

And have you folks checked out the new black front fog light covers in the 2004 accessories. With these the front is totally blacked out. I was wondering if they lower the light output of the fogs.

thanks for your help

Folks,
Matt from Cooperflags.com is working on a set of decals to use on the rear Aero Kit bumpers instead of the factory ones done in light silver. Variations include black with body color showing through, any custom color of your choosing, or a "reverse of the factory "grill" with black being the prediminant color instead of silver. You could also do it in the 3M material that looks black in daylight and is reflective at night---like the early 70's Boss 302 Mustang.

Send Matt an email at info@cooperflags.com

DD, the Aero Kit front and sides works fine; and Scoutd, you can do the side skirts alone as well. Since the pieces are factory items, they all fit independently of each other.....but I don't think I've seen anyone doing just a rear bumper. Charlie
