R50/53 Eating in my MINI: I swear I'm going to stop!
The cigarette lighter does an admirable job of powering my Rotisserie (perched on the rear parcel shelf) so that I can enjoy a hot prime rib meal during my drive.
Seriously, I still place take-out food (in a tightly-tied bag) in the boot, hoping to keep the aroma of the food out of the cabin. Sometimes it even works.

It's always a total pain to eat sushi while taking an on/off ramp onto an interstate! The darn wood mini-table always slides off the dash, and my wasabi goes flying ALL OVER the place  Does anyone know of a soy-sauce tray adapter for the steering wheel?
Also, I've found the front "non-cup-holders" hold my hot tea quite well - save the usual spillage during hard cornering.

>>However, I have found out that the small front cupholder hold my Tequila shot glasses just perfectly!
hmmm, I'll definately hae to check *that* out when I get my mini!
I used to be pretty good at eating ice cream cones while drivng a stick,
I should start practicing... I wonder if Hubby will mind me practicing in his 911?

I found out that at least 3 Krispy Kreme donuts will stack (for storage) between the shift **** and the base. The only problem is, you either have to remove the shift **** (annoying), or get fresh glazing all over the shift **** (tolerable).
--->Sndwave; have you tried removing your nacho cheese stains yet? What products do you use? Please advise (quickly!)

A bowl of vichyssoise stays nice and cool in the airconditioned glovebox, as do salads and fruit cups.
The Euro parcel shelf is a great place for french breads or shish kabobs. This alone is a good reason to get one.
Pizzas can be set on top of the sunshade from the outside. Simply open the sunroof, remove the pizza from the bulky box and set it on the still closed sunscreen.
For those culinarians who like to prepare their food as they motor, the MINI has a great spot above the exhaust header that makes a fine griddle with the bonnet open and an oven with it closed. Make sure that you dont have a leaking coolant recovery bottle prior to cooking. Spirited cornering can take the place of stirring ingredients together. Those with dark colored cars with black roofs have a large oven at their disposal during sunny summer days. A roof on said car makes a nice griddle as well.
Culinary motoring no-nos:
- Do not store liquid ingredients such as milk, oil, vinagrettes, etc in the washer reservoirs. You may forget and 'wash' the windshield, creating a nasty mess at an inoportune time.
- No matter how fluffy you make a souffle, it's no substitute for an air bag.
- Hanging pots from the turn signal stalk may cause a continuous left turn signal situation, or the left side standing lights to come on when parked.
Happy eating, and those with MCSs, enjoy the whining and dining!

The nice thing about leatherette seats are if you spill anything, say... pancake batter...... it wipes up in a breeze.
BTW, heated seats really don't get as hot as you think.

I agree. They stink for cooking. But they are OK for keeping take out warm.
