I performed a search and came up blank. I purchased a used MCS and it did not come with the Owners Manual for the radio. Does anyone know of a place to obtain one or to download one elctronically? I know the main Owners Manual can be downloaded from the MiniUSA site, but there is nothing there for radio.

I know the radio is not that hard to figure out, but one thing I am curious about is the "PTY" on the right side of the face. What is this, and how and why would one change it?

Thanks for any and all help.

PTY stands for program type. Some radio station broadcast additional data in addition to music. This may include station name, artist and song title and program type. If you press PTY and the station broadcasts PTY information it will be displayed on the screeen (i.e ROCK, NEWS, CLASSICAL etc...) press and hold PTY until the display reads PTY auto and the radio will then briefly display PTY data when available whenever you tune to a new station.

The station name, artist and song title are part of the RDS data.

Does anyone have a link to the full manual. The '05s come with a 5-6 panel card that is not very complete.

Thanks,
Steve

Your MA will supply one.....they do exist; they sent us one for free for our '05 (full manual, not the fold-out pamphlet).

Motoringfile has Owner Manuals avaiable in pdf. The links are in the right hand margin about 1/4 of the way down.

Bummer. I know I saw the stock radio manual pdf somewhere. I don't have it my archives any longer, but a search on Mini2 may give you some results.
