I'm in a '93 Corvette now, and am looking to sell it in favor of buying a new MCS. Wondering if anyone else has history owning both cars, and how a MCS compares in roadnoise, rattles, etc to a C4?

I've read the threads about Mini's having rattles and questionable build quality, but I can't imagine these cars being noisier than a Corvette!

i have never drove a C4, but i have drove a C3 and C5 (both convertables) the C3 has many more rattels and road noise than the mini and the C5 had less. the mini is not too bad really most days. and some cars are better than other, but that is normal. i would say you should be stepping up to less noise than the C4 because you are going to have a new car over all and you will not hear the roar or of the engine and tail pipes every time you hit the gas. now you will hear a faint wine. hope that helps.

 

The 1st Vette I was in was a 1963 split window red coupe :smile:
I remember it being rock solid.....but I was only 10 at the time :smile:

The last one I was in was in 1985... and it was a nosiy mess :smile:

Some MINI's rattle and some have no problems at all.IMHO it's the luck of the draw ...I know that is a general statement but .....it's the reality of this particular car....as I see it.
Mine tends to rattle more in the cold weather... and is quiet as things warm up.

MINIclo has a 91 corvette and a MCS, so she might be a good one to ask for a comparison.

Forgive me if a 91 is much different from a 93, as I do not know much about Corvettes. . . .
