This morning I found both windows and the sunroof wide open in my 04 MCS. I'm certain everything was closed last night. Luckily, it was safely parked in the garage but it could just as easily have been parked outside in a rain storm.

I had read about this happening to other MINIs so I had the "convenience option" of the key being able to open the windows and sunroof disabled hoping that would prevent this from happening. Clearly, it doesn't.

Another gremlin I've encountered several times now - when I start the car the wipers sometimes turn on by themselves (I don't have the rain sensing automatic wipers). The first few times this happened, I thought I might have nudged the wiper stalk on entering or exiting. But I've been checking lately and the stalk has been in the off detent position.

I'm not sure what the dealer can do about these problems because the probability of demonstrating either of them is basically nil.

fwiw, my MCS has the latest software (V36).
