This is a Chevy concept that doesn't seem a far reach from the MINI.

I think it's a lot bigger than the MINI. It looks great to me. I always loved the Nomads and wished the Corvette based 54 Nomad had gone into production.

Actually, from the review I read in our recent Sunday paper, I don't think it is a lot bigger. It's built on the same chasis as the upcoming Pontiac Solstice. It's just a two-door 2+2, but with RWD as opposed to the MINI FWD. I can't imagine handling would be anything like the MINI, but if my memory serves me, I think I remember reading 2.0 liter 200hp. But don't hold me to that.

if you want to see a real copy cat, check out the Daihatsu Miragino (sp?).
it's a direct copy of the previous mc.

Look at that front bumper design. There really isn't much protection. The body folds down and the grille is exposed to smashing into things. I'd like to see some crash test and bumper bash tests.

It's a modern smooth Vega (really not the best in it's day) with a jack O' Lantern front grille.
I bet it won't be too cheap, even for a chevy. It's not supposed to replace the Cavalier or anything, is it?

As a long time Corvette fan and previous Corvette owner, I'm glad GM didn't abandon the 53 Corvette when someone told them it didn't have battering ram bumpers. Sometimes form over function is a good thing.
