need a junk thermostat housing

Hi all. I am a machinist by trade. I have my own home shop that I machine stuff when needed. I was reading about the plastic housing leaking so I got started thinking if I had one to copy and measure I could make an aluminum housing. Mine isnt bad yet but figure some day it will start leaking. Anyone keep their old one? Thanks Jim

I'm pretty sure the issue is more the gasket than the housing. AFAIK.

There are some cases that the housing warped, but most of the time it's the gasket. I have one if you want it. You could just pay for the shipping. When I took mine off, it was clearly the gasket. It crumbled to dust, so as far as I know, the old housing is still good.
